What style of Background Piano Music is played at Wedding, Party, or Event?

That’s a good question.

The first question I ask an event host is what music will be appealing to you and your guests?

There is a wide variety of recorded music available on the internet. I am always find it interesting to find out what songs is requested for weddings, engagement parties, anniversary parties, and corporate events.

Tastes vary. Fiancés vary great in their requests for cocktail receptions and wedding receptions. Jazz, 40’s, 50’s and more recent songs are requested. Couples celebrating anniversary parties often want to hear music which they have enjoyed through their married years. Corporate event planners want a certain type of ambiance for their guests.

Be sure to contact me about your upcoming wedding, party or event.

I will always play your song styles and requests.

Happy event planning!

"Classical Music" or "American Classics for your event?

Sometimes a host will request “classical music” for a reception or party.

I will ask them if they would like to hear European classical- Chopin, Debussy… or songs from the American Songbook- Frank Sinatra, Judy Garland, and Tony Bennett?

They usually reply that they want songs sung by great American singers- Frank, Judy, Tony…

European classical music usually doesn’t work well for receptions and parties. Sometimes I will play a few classical compositions which are familiar to the guests. Classical music is generally more suitable for wedding ceremonies. Occasionally, I have requests to play only European classical music for receptions.

I often mix American Classics with Contemporary songs ( Beatles to current songs). It’s an excellent mix of familiar songs which guests will enjoy.
